Job 14:7-10 AMPC
For there is hope for a tree if it is cut down, that it will sprout again and that the tender shoots of it will not cease. [But there is no such hope for man.] [8] Though its roots grow old in the earth and its stock dies in the ground, [9] Yet through the scent [and breathing] of water [the stump of the tree] will bud and bring forth boughs like a young plant. [10] But [the brave, strong] man must die and lie prostrate; yes, man breathes his last, and where is he?
That is how the end of this life appears without Jesus - extinction - THE END. Like a movie, when it's over, only the credits roll on.
That's why folk are still scared at the thought of "no restrictions" at the dissipation of the pandemic.
If this little life is all that there is, then hold on to it at all costs.
I'm so happy to proclaim from the bottom of my heart......
THERE IS HOPE:
John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; 26 and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
Even if you've been cut down to size by something in your life - there is hope in Jesus.
Turning your life over to Jesus is life from death.
Many times, looking back, I've been brought low through some situation, but, with Jesus at my side it wasn't the end.
He's the Repairer of broken walls, He's the life force of all creation - sustaining everything with His Word:
Hebrews 1:3
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for taking the "stump" of my life and making it live again. Thank You for the blessed Hope of Your Return.
