John 11:25 AMPC
Jesus said to her, I AM [Myself] the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on) Me, although they may die, yet they shall live
"Died suddenly" is something we're hearing a lot of nowadays.
Many inexplicable deaths are occurring globally.
It brings the whole issue of life and death to the fore front.
Of course, we all know that one day we will die, but, somehow it gets brushed under the carpet amidst our busy-ness.
But when the "brickwall" of death confronts us head on - where do we go for comfort?
No other person has ever proclaimed and demonstrated that He is The Resurrection and The Life - only Jesus has created The Door through that "brickwall" of death.
If you read through John 11, you'll see how raising Lazarus was the catalyst for the Jewish leaders to arrange for Jesus' arrest and crucifixion.
They concluded that the whole nation would follow after Him with the news of Lazarus's resurrection.
Everyone wants to live on forever, it's hard to conceive that we will die one day.
In Jesus, we don't have that fear anymore. He's taken the sting out of it.
We who believe in Him KNOW without doubt that our future is secure and bright.
I pray that you too will come to know Jesus - The Resurrection and The Life as soon as possible.
1 Corinthians 15:19-20 AMPC
If we who are [abiding] in Christ have hope only in this life and that is all, then we are of all people most miserable and to be pitied. [20] But the fact is that Christ (the Messiah) has been raised from the dead, and He became the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep [in death].
