Colossians 3:3-4 NLT
For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. [4] And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all His glory.
O the joy of being hidden away in Jesus during these uncertain times.
Everything physical and tangible can be taken from us.
Nesteggs saved for rainy days can be eaten up by inflation and governmental taxes.
Bombs or natural disasters can destroy a lifetime of work and memories.
Disease and disabilities rob us of fruitful retirement.
Tragedy can turn our world upside down and expose us to sadness and loss.
Leaflets come through the door offering a safe place to live where someone is on hand to look after us as we age.
Everyone is looking for a reliable haven of safety.
Hear the call and promise of God:
Isaiah 43:13 NLT
"From eternity to eternity I AM God. No one can snatch anyone out of My Hand. No one can undo what I have done."
Jesus picks up and echoes the same promise:
John 10:28-30 NLT
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from Me, [29] for My Father has given them to Me, and He is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father's Hand. [30] The Father and I are One."
Finding refuge in Jesus and hiding your life away in Him brings eternal safety and salvation.
His nail- scarred Hands beckon you to come to Him and find your life hidden in Him.
Personally I know that I know that I know that I can never ever be snatched out of My Wonderful Saviour's Hands.
Safe for all eternity - whatever may happen, good or bad, in this earthly existence!
The old hymn "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms" says it right:
"What a fellowship, what a joy divine
Leaning on the everlasting arms
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine
Leaning on the everlasting arms
Leaning, leaning
Safe and secure from all alarms
Leaning, leaning
Leaning on the everlasting arms
What have I to dread, what have I to fear
Leaning on the everlasting arms?
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near
Leaning on the everlasting arms"
