Colossians 1:13-17 AMPC
[The Father] has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, [14] In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins. [15] [Now] He is the exact likeness of the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible]; He is the Firstborn of all creation. [16] For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him. [17] And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together).
Scientists at CERN are trying to discover the make up of the universe and have designed a machine "large hadron collider" in order to do so.
However, there's a much quicker way to discover these "building blocks" of existence - the passage above explains it very clearly.
Jesus created it all and holds it all together, maintaining everything by the Word of His Power.
It is not only the cosmos that is held together by Jesus, praise God, it is us individually that are held together.
So when I feel that I'm falling apart mentally, emotionally or physically I can rely on Jesus to keep me going.
I don't need a collider to tell me all about it, I need a personal encounter with the Creator, Designer and Redeemer of it all.
Through this living, breathing relationship with Jesus, life makes sense and eternity is secure.
I'm so glad that Jesus stoops down to take care of me as my Good Shepherd on a moment by moment basis.
I want the world to know about it too.
