Colossians 1:15-17 AMPC
[Now] He is the exact likeness of the unseen God [the visible representation of the invisible]; He is the Firstborn of all creation. [16] For it was in Him that all things were created, in heaven and on earth, things seen and things unseen, whether thrones, dominions, rulers, or authorities; all things were created and exist through Him [by His service, intervention] and in and for Him. [17] And He Himself existed before all things, and in Him all things consist (cohere, are held together).
Looking at the world scene right now, it's easy to see that the world is falling apart.
Whether it's the legal system, politics, education, family life, entertainment, food production and national security - it's all unravelling before our eyes.
Why?
The answer is very simple: the further we run from our Creator God and Redeemer, the more we fall apart - individually and collectively.
The scripture above makes it crystal clear that only in Jesus is everything held together.
Once we're safe in His Kingdom, we will hold together whatever the outward circumstances.
One day the world as we know it will be no more.
There will be a new heaven and a new earth.
Revelation 21:1 AMPC
Then I saw a new sky (heaven) and a new earth, for the former sky and the former earth had passed away (vanished), and there no longer existed any sea.
This world is deteriorating, no one can deny it. It is passing away:
1 John 2:17 AMPC
And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever.
As we near the end of days, it is the most crucial matter to be found in Jesus.
Trying to put faith in this world is like holding onto a sinking ship, hoping to survive.
Jesus is the ONLY One who can hold onto you and keep you together.
Don't waste another moment re-arranging the chairs on your "Titanic", get into the Life-boat that Jesus is offering you, through His saving love.
Be found in Him when all is falling apart. He will hold you together - forever!
