Held together

Colossians1:15-17

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.

My nearest and dearest recently got his hands into some prime beef mincemeat, mixed it together with breadcrumbs, garlic, chilli and held it all together with egg. Then he squeezed the whole mixture into one big meatball in the bowl. After which he formed the burgers from the big ball of mince, before putting it into a hot griddle pan with a little oil.

It was a work done for himself to eat [as I'm a veggie]. Then he sat down and ate it with chips and salad.

While you're reading this, the earth is spinning, the sun, moon and stars are in orbit, the tides are going in and out - all the while the Lord Jesus is holding everything together with the Word of His Power.

It's awesome! The whole cosmos was made by Him and for Him...

He's not worried or panicked by the schemes of man, not hurried in any way.

He's able to take the worst evil and use it for good:

You stand up to judge those who do evil, O God, and to rescue the oppressed of the earth.

Human defiance only enhances your glory, for you use it as a weapon.

Psalm 76:9-10

Also while you're reading this, your heart is pumping blood, your lungs are sucking in air and your brain is (hopefully) soaking in the Word!!

You don't have to constantly remind yourself to do these things.

No! You are being held together, sustained by Jesus.

You are part of the "all things" that were created through and for Jesus.

Be comforted, as you go out into the new day, that Jesus goes before you and is guarding you.

The Cosmos isn't out of control in any way, because Jesus rules all and overrules all!

Therefore rest in His Hands, be at peace.

This day is a "no fretting" zone!
