Psalm 34:4 AMPC
I sought (inquired of) the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Have you ever told someone something and later realised that they hadn't heard you at all?
Or, have you been so tied up in your own thoughts that you didn't hear what was said to you?
In this life we're very short of good listeners. They're so many people that want to tell us what they think, but few that want to take time to really hear what we have on our hearts.
In the Psalm today we are told that God heard David as he poured out his thoughts and fears to Him.
Please don't think that God isn't listening when you pray - He even knows your anxious thoughts from afar (Psalm 139:2).
More than that, our Heavenly Father doesn't just listen, but He has the power to deliver!
Recently we ordered a greenhouse and paid for it, but it wasn't delivered when it was promised (within 5 working days).
After 2 weeks we chased it up via online chat - waiting in a queue of 63 people before us.
Finally, when we got a response, they said that there was no way for direct contact with the supplier! So we cancelled and asked for a refund.
With God, through Jesus we can contact the Supplier of help directly, face to face and - as David states - He delivers!
Take all your fears and pour out your heart to the only One who can truly help.
I promise, you, like David, will be heard and delivered!
Psalm 34:6 AMPC
This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
