1 John 4:9-10 NKJV
In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. [10] In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
1 John 4:9-10 NLT
God showed how much He loved us by sending His one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. [10] This is real love-not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
There's this lovely guy on YouTube who goes into dog rescue centres and spends time with the ones no one wants because they are too damaged by mistreatment.
It's amazing to watch him go into their kennel and gradually open them up to love and affection.
He gains their trust gradually, patiently, with words of acceptance and understanding.
God is like that with each one of us.
When Jesus tells the story of the lost sheep, we see that picture.
He leaves the others who are ok and goes searching for the lost one.
That sheep may not even know that they're lost until they hit a wall of trouble.
Isn't it good to know that you don't have to persuade Jesus to rescue a loved one?
He's already on their case.
Like the dog in the kennel, each one needs special understanding and care. It takes time. It takes patience. It takes unconditional love to win trust.
Jesus loves so much more than we can ever know.
Commit those friends and family into Jesus' Hands to woo them into His Loving Arms.
Luke 19:10 NLT
For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost."
