God speaks and it's done!

Isaiah 55:8-11 NKJV

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the LORD. [9] "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. [10] "For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, [11] So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

I'm sitting here in the early morning rain, looking out at the trees and plants so green and vibrant in the spring growth.

The gentle rain is s bringing much needed moisture so that all the vegetation is thriving.

The Bible likens the rain to God's Word.

No one can stop it.

God speaks and it's done.

We see this in Creation:

Genesis 1:3 NKJV

Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.

Jesus, the Living Word, told us:

Matthew 24:35 NKJV

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

That's why the Bible is foundational to living a fulfilled life.

When I read the Word, God is speaking into my very soul and as I let those Words sink in, I am renewed, cleansed, watered and healed.

Like the trees, I need to stop, listen and absorb what God is speaking in His Word.

John 4:14 NKJV

Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."
