God's promise

Psalm 121:4 NKJV

Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Imagine being surrounded on every side by those wanting to annihilate you.

Think no further than the nations around Israel, filled with blind hatred and blood lust.

At this time, as followers of Jesus, our spiritual armoury is loaded. We are assured that:

Psalm 121:2 NKJV

My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.

The Architect of the Cosmos is "wide awake" and sees clearly each move against His People.

It is not advisable to poke the Lord in the eye and, spiritually speaking, that's happening now, when Israel is being attacked and vilified:

Zechariah 2:8 NKJV

For thus says the LORD of hosts: "He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.

Our God sees and foreknows what is being planned in secret against His People and will stand up for them.

Father God at this perilous time for Israel, we have Your promises to pray into. You will not stand idly by, but will be swift to deliver them from the hand that is too strong for them.
