1 Corinthians 15:50-53 AMPC
But I tell you this, brethren, flesh and blood cannot [become partakers of eternal salvation and] inherit or share in the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable (that which is decaying) inherit or share in the imperishable (the immortal). [51] Take notice! I tell you a mystery (a secret truth, an event decreed by the hidden purpose or counsel of God). We shall not all fall asleep [in death], but we shall all be changed (transformed) [52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the [sound of the] last trumpet call. For a trumpet will sound, and the dead [in Christ] will be raised imperishable (free and immune from decay), and we shall be changed (transformed). [53] For this perishable [part of us] must put on the imperishable [nature], and this mortal [part of us, this nature that is capable of dying] must put on immortality (freedom from death).
The villainous voice of Klaus Schwab, head of the World Economic Forum, etches out what he and his crew arrogantly perceive to be the future of the human race.
Transhumanism, uploading of consciousness to the cloud, brain enhancement etc etc.
All an attempt to stave off the inevitable - death.
It sounds far from benign.
We have to understand that what God has planned for the future, Satan is trying to counterfeit.
Ultimately, we know Satan's evil plans will be thwarted, so don't be afraid - Jesus wins!
But what about God's plans for us?
What does that look like?
Paul explains the mysterious future for believers and followers of the Lord Jesus.
A one time, momentous event is on the God's timetable.
At the trumpet sound from heaven, we (believers) will all be suddenly, swiftly transformed: exchanging, in the twinkling of an eye, our corruptible bodies for ones like the Resurrected Jesus - ones incapable of ageing or dying.
Sounds like a good swap to me!
It is an exclusive appointment, only available for those who put their trust and hope in Jesus.
Time to arrange to change - believe in Jesus and His Finished Work of Salvation on the Cross.
There is a new heaven and earth coming, be part of it!
