God's Bank of Infinite Care

Psalm 145:14-19 NLT

The LORD helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads. [15] The eyes of all look to You in hope; You give them their food as they need it. [16] When You open Your hand, You satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing. [17] The LORD is righteous in everything He does; He is filled with kindness. [18] The LORD is close to all who call on Him, yes, to all who call on Him in truth. [19] He grants the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cries for help and rescues them.

Jesus, in the Sermon on the Mount, tells His followers not to worry. Then He points to nature as a way of showing God's provision for all living and growing things.

I have a great example outside the window this morning. The mulberry tree is full of fruit and many different birds are coming for "breakfast"! It's God's designed provision. Even the clumsy wood pigeon can manage to eat its fill, precariously balanced on the top branch.

In a day and age where having the "wrong" political or Christian beliefs can get you cancelled, perhaps it's quite natural to worry about how to survive if the banks close our bank accounts.

But Jesus is on our case, He will never "cancel" those who trust in Him. The Bank of His Infinite Care will be ever open to provide for our needs.

Matthew 6:25-26 NLT

"That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life-whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn't life more than food, and your body more than clothing? [26] Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your Heavenly Father feeds them. And aren't you far more valuable to Him than they are?

Father God thank You for taking care of everything in this uncertain world. Help me to place my trust ever more firmly in You.
