Exodus 16:9 NKJV
Then Moses spoke to Aaron, "Say to all the congregation of the children of Israel, 'Come near before the LORD, for He has heard your complaints.'"
Ok, let's do percentages - how much of what I say is complaining and how much is giving thanks?
God is listening - the Bible is clear about that!
To my shame, when I examine my words, I have to admit that complaining does feature far too heavily. When I'm driving I'm super critical of cyclists using the road instead of the cycle path, of tailgaters behind me. My nearest and dearest is quick to remind me of my negative attitude!
This week we've decided to celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday. So yesterday we put up appropriate decor with a massive banner saying "GIVE THANKS" across the window. You can't miss it.
It's a wake up call in my heart.
I need to be more grateful and express my thanks to Jesus.
He deserves it so, so much.
Psalm 136:1-3 NKJV
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. [2] Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever. [3] Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever:
