God is faithful
1 Corinthians 1:9 AMPC
God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on); by Him you were called into companionship and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Better than any alarm clock, I was woken with the distinct Word from the pillow, this morning:
God is faithful!
How immense and reassuring it is to have a Heavenly Father who will never, ever let us down.
There are so many challenges facing each one of us in this fragile world. It can be scary in the extreme.
But listen to the Voice of the Holy Spirit who calls us ever closer to Jesus - to walk in step and friendship with Him on a moment by moment basis.
You may be on the wrong end of some betrayal, or, in danger of losing a job. You may be misunderstood, but God sees your heart and won't fail you.
Someone may have told lies about you, but God is faithful.
For every single eventuality, the answer is: God is faithful.
To the end of this earthly life and on into the infinity of eternity, the one constant will be:
God is faithful
You can put your whole reliance on Him. Sit down on His faithfulness. He can take the weight of your burdens.
