Philippians 4:18-20 NKJV
Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. [19] And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. [20] Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Luke 6:38 NKJV
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you."
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 NKJV
But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. [7] So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. [8] And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
It is one of God's immutable spiritual laws that giving creates an endless supply!
When Jesus gave up Himself on the Cross it created an endless supply of salvation, forgiveness, grace, mercy and peace to all who will receive.
This "law" also relates to our giving. When we give as to Jesus, He promised that He would in turn look after us.
I am living proof of this.
However, that should never be our motive for giving.
Giving should flow out of a grateful heart moved with compassion and love.
Jesus is watching as we give and can see the motives in our hearts:
Mark 12:41-44 NKJV
Now Jesus sat opposite the treasury and saw how the people put money into the treasury. And many who were rich put in much. [42] Then one poor widow came and threw in two mites, which make a quadrans. [43] So He called His disciples to Himself and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all those who have given to the treasury; [44] for they all put in out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all that she had, her whole livelihood."
That's a challenging fact.
How am I giving to Jesus in my daily life?
Am I giving grudgingly or gratefully?
