From dark to light

Isaiah 9:2 NKJV

The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined.

Hallelujah for this verse!

It's so very dark in this world - look around at the aggression, offence, violence and destruction going on.

Last night on TV, John Cleese, the comedian, talked about his hopelessness when observing the global happenings. He spoke of consulting a "shrink" for help, he was so depressed

People, that's not what any of us need!

We need "The Light" to shine on us, as promised in the above verse.

I'm sitting here in the half light of the winter dawn and can see the vague outline of the trees on top of the Roughs.

That's how the people of the Old Testament saw this prophecy.

But, in the here and now, we, who believe, have the full Light of Christ and can clearly see His Wonderful Light in our lives.

It's high time to share it around, because people,Ike John Cleese, are feeding on hopelessness.

John 8:12 NKJV

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

Jesus is the True Source of Light, but He kindles that flame in each of us who believe.

Matthew 5:14-16 NKJV

"You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. [15] Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. [16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

On this gloomy morn, it's time to shine!
