Faithfulness

Deuteronomy 31:8 NLT

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; He will neither fail you nor abandon you."

Don't love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, "I will never fail you. I will never abandon you."

If we are unfaithful, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny who He is.

It's been nearly 60 years since I gave my heart to Jesus.

I remember that wonderful revelation of what Jesus had done for me on the Cross and feeling the power of His forgiveness and love.

Many times I've gone stubbornly on my own way and failed Him - to my great shame.

Yet God's faithfulness has never failed me.

In His mercy, He has always used trials and circumstances to turn me around and bring me back to Him.

He has NEVER abandoned me.

That divine faithfulness pumps throughout the cosmos - the sun rises and sets, the earth keeps turning, seasons follow their set paths - because God IS faithful, reliable and true.

Looking at the world and society - there is a distinct lack of faithfulness.

Marriage vows are broken at the drop of a hat, politicians brazenly lie and renege on their manifesto pledges - we don't expect people to be reliable anymore.

Even in the Body of Christ, in many instances, we see a lack of faithfulness - a departing from the biblical truth.

It is a mark of the "last days".

Jesus is looking for faithful followers not for outward success.

In the Parable of the talents, the master of the house says "Well done good and FAITHFUL servant" Matthew 25:23

As I examine my heart, Father God, I see how unfaithful I've been to You over the years of my life. Help me, in the time that remains, to value faithfulness above everything else, all for the glory of Jesus. Thank You for always being faithful to Your Word.

Lamentations 3:22-23 NLT

The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. [23] Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.
