Hebrews 11:1,3 NKJV
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. [3] By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
We all desire to know, to understand about Creation, don't we?
How many times have these questions been posed: "Why are we here? Is there some reason for existence? Does my life count for anything? Is there some almighty power behind it all?'
Different people have formed their theories based on observations and suppositions - but they all require some sort of "guess work" and even a weird kind of faith, but all are "dead ends"!
If your understanding leads to faith in Darwin's theory of evolution, you will live life teetering on the edge of annihilation, the survival of the fittest, will lead to extinction - yours and your loved ones too.
The way to really understand Creation and to know the Entity behind it all is by faith.
As the verse says: by faith we understand....
That goes for everything in life.
Yesterday a dear friend passed from this life to the next.
He had to undergo an operation for a growth. Prior to his op he told us, that he had placed the outcome in the Lord's Hands. He was content by faith to know all was well, even if he died.
Now by faith we understand that he is now at rest with Jesus and his loved ones.
Faith in God's Word is not wishful thinking, but it has substance and leads to great assurance and peace.
Jesus said:
John 14:1-3 NKJV
"Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. [2] In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. [3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.
That's a reason for a great big Hallelujah this morning.
I pray that the Holy Spirit will illumine your understanding with eternal faith to believe and understand.
