Every breath

Psalm 150:1-6 AMPC

Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the heavens of His power! [2] Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to the abundance of His greatness! [3] Praise Him with trumpet sound; praise Him with lute and harp! [4] Praise Him with tambourine and [single or group] dance; praise Him with stringed and wind instruments or flutes! [5] Praise Him with resounding cymbals; praise Him with loud clashing cymbals! [6] Let everything that has breath and every breath of life praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)

What am I using my breath for? Am I creating conflict? Am I moaning, grumbling and critical?

This Psalm explicitly declares that everything which has breath should praise the Lord.

How profound that this virus tries to stop the breath of life and muffle the sound of praise.

That is the pinnacle of our existence - to adore and give thanks to our Maker.

Throughout this pandemic satan has tried to shut out the sound of praise and deny Jesus His deserved Tribute all over this globe.

How sad to see places of worship shut or masked worshippers muting the sound of praise.

We should be practicing praise down here, for it will be something we all do in eternity.

Whether we sing beautifully like a blackbird or harshly like a magpie, let's just sing and use our breath to praise the Lord.

My best mate loves to sing and sing loudly. She doesn't care what it sounds like, she just loves to belt out the old hymns and choruses.

We may not enjoy it too much, but Jesus hears the tune in her heart and the worship she expresses. She isn't shy about it.

Don't let satan silence your breath of praise!

Get rid of the sighs of sadness - this is the day that the Lord has made!

Let the praise rip!
