Psalm 139:7-10 My version!
There's nowhere I can go to hide from you because Your Spirit is everywhere.
You know where I am, whether I want it or not.
Whatever I'm doing, thinking or saying, you already knew about it beforehand.
If I'm flying above the clouds in turbulence or drowning in the depths of the sea, or, worse still, if I'm dead... EVEN THERE You are present.
How do we feel about the Government tracking our whereabouts? It's a very relevant topic right now with the introduction of an app which will tell if we're near someone with Corona virus.
Are we happy about it, or do we think it's just an excuse for "Big Brother" to spy on us and monitor every thing we do?
Personally I worry about it, because I'm not sure of the real reason behind it. It's sounds very plausible, but there are a million things that can be done with data that reveals everything about us, that tracks all our movements, messages and surfing habits.
Yet the Lord we serve already has that intricate knowledge about each and everyone of us.
Psalm 139 is an amazing Psalm, read the whole of it and marvel at how God is everywhere present, all knowing, all seeing, all powerful and, most vitally, all loving!
Like it or not, we can't hide from God, but the Good News is... this God loves us more than we could ever understand, enough to come and be our sin offering on the cross!
Whatever you're going through, it's no surprise to the Lord, He's got you covered... In the darkest depression, in the midst of illness, or whatever the circumstance, you can be sure of His loving Presence.
Corrie Ten Boom, a very brave lady, who was a prisoner in Ravensbrück concentration camp during WW2, said:
“There is no pit so deep, that God's love is not deeper still.”
Take a moment to pause and let Jesus reassure you of His love "even there" right now, where you are.
