Isaiah 41:25-26
“I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again. Let us review the situation together, and you can present your case to prove your innocence.
Isaiah 44:21-22
“Pay attention, O Jacob, for you are my servant, O Israel. I, the LORD, made you, and I will not forget you. 22 I have swept away your sins like a cloud. I have scattered your offenses like the morning mist. Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free.”
Ephesians 2:11-13
But don’t take any of this for granted. It was only yesterday that you outsiders to God’s ways had no idea of any of this, didn’t know the first thing about the way God works, hadn’t the faintest idea of Christ. You knew nothing of that rich history of God’s covenants and promises in Israel, hadn’t a clue about what God was doing in the world at large. Now because of Christ—dying that death, shedding that blood—you who were once out of it altogether are in on everything.
Ever been plagued by guilt? Wish you could turn back time and erase the evil things you did?
Humanly speaking, it's impossible, the guilt remains - a heavy weight inside, haunting the memory, polluting everything!
When we feel like this, we think that God is permanently angry with us, constantly waving an accusing finger!
Actually, it's quite the reverse!
Satan, the great accuser of believers, wants to keep us locked up inside the prison of guilt.
Both Old and New Testaments in the Bible harmonise - the Lord is determined to free us from our sin-stained past.
Through the shed blood of Jesus we are brought near to Him and COMPLETELY forgiven, our sins erased - once and for all!
This is truly amazing and should ignite eternal devotion and gratefulness in our hearts.
Psalm 32
32 1-2 What happiness for those whose guilt has been forgiven! What joys when sins are covered over! What relief for those who have confessed their sins and God has cleared their record.
