Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
We live in times when God's Word is not respected or obeyed.
Indeed it is being discarded - ripped up and replaced by man-made, demonically inspired edicts.
Look at the laws brought in by our Parliament and defined by our courts....
Just this week the court ruled on terminations up to birth of babies with Down's Syndrome https://www.theguardian.com/society/2022/nov/25/heidi-crowter-woman-downs-syndrome-loses-court-of-appeal-abortion-law-case
What we deplored the Nazis for, in killing those with disabilities, is now being done under cover of prenatal darkness in abortion clinics.
Human lives are in a "Russian roulette" lottery up to birth.
God's plan of marriage has been downgraded and mutilated, but God's Word is still the same:
He said to them, “Have you not read that He Who made them in the first place made them man and woman? 5 It says, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will live with his wife. The two will become one.’ 6 So they are no longer two but one. Let no man divide what God has put together.”
Matthew 19:4-6
It could not be clearer one man, one woman equals God's plan for marriage.
Set Jesus' pronouncements against our law in the UK - speaking against same sex "marriage" is now a hate crime.
Just standing up for Biblical values can lead to prosecution and persecution.
There's a very interesting passage in Jeremiah where the king cuts up and burns God's Word in the fire:
Jeremiah 36:23 AMPC
And [each time] when Jehudi had read three or four columns [of the scroll], he [King Jehoiakim] would cut them off with a penknife and cast them into the fire that was in the brazier, until the entire scroll was consumed in the fire that was in the brazier.
Then the Lord tells Jeremiah to write the scroll again.
Our governments can "burn" God's laws in the fire of contemporary values, but God's unchanging Laws in His Word still stand.
It is our God-defying laws which the Lord will burn in His fire when the Day of Judgement arrives.
Isaiah 5:20 AMPC
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
