Isaiah 65:17-19 AMPC

For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth. And the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind. [18] But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem to be a rejoicing and her people a joy. [19] And I will rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people; and the sound of weeping will no more be heard in it, nor the cry of distress.

This week global leaders are meeting in Sharm El Sheikh in order to talk about the "climate crisis". They will deliberate how they can save the planet.

It all sounds very plausible and humane, doesn't it?

However, even the logo portrays a lie that we have the world in our hands, we don't...

It is a grand deception which blinds us to the reality of the future.

God has proclaimed that there will be a new heaven and a new earth (as we see in the scripture above).

This current creation is bound for destruction. It is dying.

Try as we might, the force of decay is irreversible. God has other plans.

Instead of obsessing on saving this doomed planet, as Christians, we should major on saving people from the coming, inevitable judgement.

As one man of God says: "Get Jesus to people and people to Jesus as fast as possible!"

We humans vainly think we are masters of our own fate and ignore what is written in God's Word.

There is coming a time when the Lord will deal with those who "thumb their noses" at Jesus and His gospel.

The Lord is VERY patient, but ultimately, mankind and the forces of evil will be judged.

It is written!

2 Peter 3:3

Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7 By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.
