Romans 8:29-30 AMPC
For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren. [30] And those whom He thus foreordained, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified (acquitted, made righteous, putting them into right standing with Himself). And those whom He justified, He also glorified [raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state of being].
Yesterday three of my great-neices (and they are indeed GREAT) were baptised in water, the full immersion Bible type.
My long time friend is their grandma.
As I watched, it struck me afresh how the Lord is going ahead of us making divine connections and breaking other ones, so that we are where He can bring about His will.
My nephew and his wife met because of the friendship between "grandma and great-auntie"!
Now look at the "fruit" of that relationship - five beautiful daughters following Jesus.
I sat next to my nearest and dearest, who I never would have met had I not gone through a painful exit from another fellowship.
The sovereignty of God is busy "connecting the dots" to make the picture He wants.
What seems like a tragedy or heartbreak is often the Lord at work putting up a Holy Ghost roadblock so that we don't go down the wrong path!
What roadblocks and connections can you see in your life?
