Revelation 21:5 NLT
And the One sitting on the throne said, "Look, I am making everything new!" And then He said to me, "Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true."
Looking out of the window this morning I see the fresh green leaves decorating what were, just a few days ago, skeletal, lifeless looking branches.
It's a miracle which happens every springtime.
It's in God's nature to make things anew.
What looks dead and buried suddenly bursts into life - simply because Jesus is the Creator and is The Resurrection and the Life!
Those doubters who disbelieve Jesus need to see with new eyes what God does in nature each year.
It's nothing of random chance, it's designed.
Say you've never seen anything miraculous? Just take a walk in a wood and see a vast carpet of bluebells. No one tends them, yet they appear year on year, brand new and perfect.
Or, consider the power of a seed, planted in the ground, seemingly dead and then pushing a new plant out of the earth.
John 12:23-24 NLT
Jesus replied, "Now the time has come for the Son of Man to enter into his glory. [24] I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels - a plentiful harvest of new lives.
We all must face the "brick wall" of death - be it our loved ones or ourselves. Jesus is the only One who promises a brand new eternal future when He makes all things new.
To ensure that future we must put our hand in the Hand of the One who stilled the waters - trust in the Lord Jesus for salvation.
