2 Corinthians 4:3-5 AMPC

But even if our Gospel (the glad tidings) also be hidden (obscured and covered up with a veil that hinders the knowledge of God), it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing and obscured [only] to those who are spiritually dying and veiled [only] to those who are lost. [4] For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers' minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God. [5] For what we preach is not ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your servants (slaves) for Jesus' sake.

Today it has become very fashionable to suppress the truth and rewrite history.

Hence, the once venerated Winston Churchill is portrayed as a racist, bigoted, white supremacist!

This is rich indeed, when he was the leader who led the fight against Adolf Hitler, the true facist.

Last night I heard one political commentator say that we had never been a truly Christian country, that our roots are in paganism!

He suggested we'd better put our trust in wizardry and Ouija boards and forget Christianity!

However, this gentleman, has willingly suppressed the truth...

Augustine arrived in Kent in 595 to bring the Gospel to this land.

So, for over 1400 years, we have been a Christian country.

Now, to our great shame, the monarch is championing the merits of all faiths, undermining the foundations built up over hundreds of years.

To embrace all faiths inevitably leads to polluting and diluting the Gospel of Christ, who declared that:

I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6

It couldn't be clearer.

A willful denial of the Truth ends in a deluded mind and spiritual blindness.

It is the hallmark of end times:

2 Thessalonians 2 10-12

They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.  For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.

In these spiritually dangerous times, let us cling ever closer to Jesus, the only One who can save.

Father God, thank You for sending Jesus to save us, please keep our eyes open and deliver us from the spiritual blindness that is infecting the world. Keep us focussed on Jesus, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
