Psalm 103:4 AMPC
Who redeems your life from the pit and corruption, Who beautifies, dignifies, and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy;
What a verse!
Got a big mess in your life?
It's not a problem to God.
He knew about it, He allowed it because He wants to demonstrate His Redeeming Power in the darkest of situations.
Sometimes we jump into that pit of corruption voluntarily, sometimes we fall into it, oblivious to the harm that awaits, at other times it is a satanic plan to wean us away from Jesus.
Either way, God has the final say and ordains a unique rescue plan at the Hands of our precious Lord Jesus.
Corrie Ten Boom, who went through Ravensbruck concentration camp, said: "There is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still."
She experienced the Lord's saving plan in the most horrific of places.
This trauma was used by the Lord to take her around the world, after her rescue, witnessing to the Redeeming Presence of Jesus in the worst of times.
The old chorus says it right:
Something beautiful
Something good
All my confusion
He understood
All I had to offer Him
Was brokenness and strife
But Jesus made
Something beautiful
Of my life
In the midst of your mess Jesus wants to meet you there and redeem that dire situation so that He can crown you with His lovingkindness and ever so tender mercy.
How? you might say in desperation.
I don't know, but He does.
His plan is unique to your situation - tailor made to fit perfectly.
What looks as though it's the worst thing that could happen is the event that will prove God's provision, protection and saving help, right there in "the pit" of your life.
Psalm 40:1-2 NKJV
I waited patiently for the LORD; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. [2] He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.
Only Jesus can do that!
