1 Corinthians 1:18 NKJV

For the message of the Cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the Power of God.

Jesus, keep me near the Cross,

There a Precious Fountain;

Free to all, a healing stream,

Flows from Calv'ry's mountain.

In the Cross, in the Cross

Be my glory ever

Till my ransomed soul shall find

Rest beyond the river

You can keep all your self help philosophies, theories and religious ideas. These seemingly "wise" notions only serve to muddy the spiritual waters.

It's "back to base" for me.

Hear the Holy Spirit calling us home to where the Eternal Power of the Cross will bring us salvation flowing like an Endless Stream.

Being weak and full of failings isn't a problem to Jesus. Oh no, He uses His Saving Power poured out on the Cross to bring us home to Him.

There He can use weak humans (of which I am surely one) to confound the so called wise.

What good is knowledge? As Solomon found out, it is vanity. It puffs up the owner thereof with pride and pride goes before a fall.

All my hope is in the Cross of Jesus. There I found forgiveness and sweet relief from my failing self.

There is a fountain filled with blood

Poured from Immanuel's Veins

And sinners plunged beneath its flood

Lose all their guilty stains

Fed up with yourself and your weaknesses and failings?

There is Hope only in Jesus...

He is the Great Redeemer and Renewer of lost souls... like me.

Come with me, back to base!!
