God has a diary. It's very clear from scripture that He has an appointed time for bringing about His Will and His Kingdom.
It is not our timescale. We want to hurry things up.
And.... if we try to open up the bud of a flower before its time, we will destroy it.
When we, and especially I, try to hurry God's plans - I make a big mess of things!
I'm impatient to get things done, but God's wisdom is far higher than ours can ever be.
My thoughts are not your thoughts, my ways are not your ways
Isaiah 55:8
We often get disappointed or puzzled at the way things happen as they do, but we have to lean back and rest on God's time plan or we will find ourselves in a ditch of doubt.
Even Jesus' mum tried to force Jesus out into the limelight before He was ready and received a rebuke, albeit a kind one!
John 2:4 AMPC
Jesus said to her, [Dear] woman, what is that to you and to Me? [What do we have in common? Leave it to Me.] My time (hour to act) has not yet come.
Jesus is coming back at a time of God's choosing, not ours.
The question is:
Luke 18:8 AMPC
I tell you, He will defend and protect and avenge them speedily. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [persistence in] faith on the earth?
No matter how disheartening we may find the events happening around us, it is important to keep in mind that there is an appointed time in God's diary to deal with everything.
Be ready, be in faith, make Jesus happy!
