Another prophetic Psalm

Psalm 46:4 NKJV

There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.

Ezekiel 47:2,5-6,8-9 NKJV

He brought me out by way of the north gate, and led me around on the outside to the outer gateway that faces east; and there was water, running out on the right side. [5] Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed. [6] He said to me, "Son of man, have you seen this?" Then he brought me and returned me to the bank of the river. [8] Then he said to me: "This water flows toward the eastern region, goes down into the valley, and enters the sea. When it reaches the sea, its waters are healed. [9] And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes.

Zechariah 14:8 NKJV

And in that day it shall be That living waters shall flow from Jerusalem, Half of them toward the eastern sea And half of them toward the western sea; In both summer and winter it shall occur.

As I read Psalm 46 this morning it hit me that this Psalm speaks prophetically about a future event also foretold in other books of the prophets.

It takes about a river in Jerusalem - a river that makes glad the city of God.

At present there is no large river flowing through Jerusalem - but there will be.

When Jesus' returns His feet will touch the Mount of Olives:

Zechariah 14:4 NKJV

And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, From east to west, Making a very large valley; Half of the mountain shall move toward the north And half of it toward the south.

This is reiterated in Revelation:

Revelation 22:1-2 NKJV

And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. [2] In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

In this time of exceeding trouble for Israel and strife of nations globally, it is indeed wonderful to know a time of healing is coming when Jesus returns - yes, even the Dead Sea wil live!

Wherever Jesus is there is true life, living water, and a well of joy that never runs dry.

He offers that freely to each one of us now.

Matthew 18:2-4 NLT

Jesus called a little child to Him and put the child among them. [3] Then He said, "I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. [4] So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Time to let your inner child loose and BELIEVE!
