Psalm 139:7-12 AMPC
Where could I go from Your Spirit? Or where could I flee from Your presence? [8] If I ascend up into heaven, You are there; if I make my bed in Sheol (the place of the dead), behold, You are there. [9] If I take the wings of the morning or dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, [10] Even there shall Your hand lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. [11] If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me and the night shall be [the only] light about me, [12] Even the darkness hides nothing from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You.
We are surely in dark times. One calamity comes after another in ever increasing waves.
Imagine being a Christian in Ukraine right now!
Reassurance of the Lord's Presence with us is what will sustain us, and them, through the massive loss and chaos.
God's precious word is a treasure trove of comfort and we need to have it stored in our hearts.
That way the Holy Spirit can prompt our memories with a Sword of the Spirit - a timely weapon to fight off those satanic attacks.
When we don't know what or how to pray, the Psalms are packed with great prayers we can use in our darkest hour.
On the Cross, we find even Jesus, though experiencing excruciating pain, using verses from Psalms. Words He had stored in His Heart:
My God, my God why have You forsaken Me Psalm 22:1
Into Your Hands I commit My spirit Psalm 31:5
Whatever depths we go through, the Lord sees, the Lord cares, we can call on Him in the day of trouble:
Psalm 50:15 AMPC
And call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall honour and glorify Me.
