All the Promises

2 Corinthians 1:19-20 NKJV

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us-by me, Silvanus, and Timothy-was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. [20] For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.

As I was reading the prophecy in Isaiah this morning:

Isaiah 60:18 NKJV

Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, Neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; But you shall call your walls Salvation, And your gates Praise.

It seemed like a utopian dream, wishful thinking in the face of global turmoil, hatred and indescriminate violence.

Then the Holy Spirit prompted me with the verse from 2 Corinthians.

The Prophecies and Promises in God's Word are absolutely reliable. They WILL happen just as foretold, to the letter, with nothing missing.

How can we know this? Because Jesus will fulfill each one. He is God's "YES" and "Amen" - to coin a phrase He is Yeshua (Hebrew pronunciation for Jesus) - "YES-YOU-ARE"!!

When we pray "Your Kingdom come, Your Will be done on earth as it is in Heaven", we are asking the Lord to fulfill the Promises in His Word, to which Jesus is the Yes and Amen.

Don't know what or how to pray, then pray that.

It puts faith and hope where it belongs - in God's Almighty Hands.

Hallelujah!
