Psalm 103:19 NLT
The LORD has made the heavens His throne; from there He rules over everything.
Psalm 103:19 TPT
God's heavenly throne is eternal, secure, and strong, and His sovereignty rules the entire universe.
Psalm 103:19 AMPC
The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all.
Here in the UK, we live in a democracy. Even though we have a king, in effect, he has no real power.
He may have a few palaces and a majestic throne, yet it means nothing. He is a puppet of the state.
He has to tow the line or else.
History tells us that his namesake, Charles 1st, tried to usurp Parliament and ended up losing his head for his trouble!
Not so with our Sovereign Lord.
Like it or not, He reigns, not just in little old Britain, but throughout the cosmos.
Many treat God like He doesn't exist, ignoring the signs that the natural world displays. Choosing rather to believe man made theories and suppress the Truth.
Romans 1:20 NLT
For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
Right now we see the havoc that the rule of humanity has created in society.
There's so much talk about peace and equality, but in reality, very little of either actually exists!
The world is rife with injustice and oppression of the vulnerable.
Yet lift your eyes to the heavens and you'll see the majesty of creation - silently declaring that God reigns.
A time is coming on earth when a King will reign in righteousness:
Isaiah 32:1-2 NLT
Look, a Righteous King is coming! And honest princes will rule under him. [2] Each one will be like a shelter from the wind and a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in the desert and the shadow of a great rock in a parched land.
Revelation 21:1-4 NLT
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. [2] And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. [3] I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, "Look, God's home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. [4] He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever."
The time is near!
