Romans 10:8-13
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Just reading that passage makes me want to jump for joy!
I'm saved, saved, saved!
No matter what happens here on earth, I know my final destination is going to be with Jesus - my eternal home!
The mountain of my sin has been nailed to Jesus' cross and He has cancelled out the debt I couldn't pay.
Colossians 2:14 AMPC
Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against us (hostile to us). This [note with its regulations, decrees, and demands] He set aside and cleared completely out of our way by nailing it to [His] cross.
That makes every day a "HALLELUJAH" day!
Back in the '70's there was a popular chorus with very simple words. Many times I sang it with my heart bursting for sheer joy:
"I am so glad that Jesus took my sins away, He took my sins away, He took my sins away."
I'm still so very, very glad and very, very grateful ... and will be forevermore!
It's time to believe in Jesus from your heart, confess with your mouth and be saved...
As the meerkats would say:
"simples"!
