A dangerous gospel

John 8:31-32 NKJV

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. [32] And you shall know The Truth, and The Truth shall make you free."

Lately the Internet has been flagging up these devotionals as potentially dangerous - they are!

Increasingly, the powers that be, who want to shut down free speech and control the narrative, find themselves at odds with Jesus and His Word.

The message of the gospel IS a danger to the kingdom of darkness.

Jesus, being the Light of the world, exposes the lies of satan and steers believers away from deception.

The closer we become to Jesus, who is the living embodiment of The Truth, the freer we are.

That means we see through the corruption of politics, media, police and judiciary and are unfettered in our beliefs.

Physically they may imprison believers - the apostle Paul spent a lot of time incarcerated for his faith, but spiritually he was gloriously free - and so are we.

It's not of what we do, but all of what Jesus has done and continues to do by His Spirit.

True followers of Jesus may find themselves on the "wrong" side of this world's laws, but on the right side of His Story.

Isaiah 32:1 NKJV

Behold, a King will reign in righteousness, And princes will rule with justice.

There is coming a time, when Jesus returns, that fairness and justice will be at the heart of His Government:

No more making an industry out of aborted babies; no more telling kids they can change their biological sex; no more outlawing silent prayer; no more perverting minds with graphic pornography .... Hallelujah!

Isaiah 11:1-9 NKJV

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. [2] The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. [3] His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; [4] But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. [5] Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist. [6] "The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. [7] The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. [8] The nursing child shall play by the cobra's hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper's den. [9] They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea.

That day is coming, closer than you think!

Live in Christ's freedom unafraid to speak, to pray and believe.

Dare to live dangerously for Jesus.
