John 10:3-5 NLT
The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. [4] After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. [5] They won't follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don't know his voice."
My mum was brought up on a farm. As a little girl she loved to nurture the orphaned lambs and bottle feed them until they were mature enough to join the flock.
With a warm smile of recollection, she told me that they never forgot her voice. Whenever she called them they would leave their grazing and come running, because they knew her call.
Jesus gave a similar illustration about His followers - they know His Voice, He said, and wouldn't be distracted or deceived into following someone else.
Today we have a cacophony of competing voices booming out for our votes. It's a minefield to sift out the truth from fiction!
But far more vital is the cry of Jesus for our eternal souls.
Can your heart His Voice above the many mixed messages of religious adherence?

Don't rely on some leader or a YouTube podcast to spoon feed you - get alone with Jesus and let Him speak Truth to your heart through His Word.
Isaiah 30:21 NLT
Your own ears will hear Him. Right behind you a Voice will say, "This is the way you should go," whether to the right or to the left.
Father God, let me hear the Voice of Jesus leading, guiding and directing me. Holy Spirit please filter out the noise of conflicting messages and let me follow Jesus in this day.
